Romelu Lukaku continued his fine form on the pitch at the weekend.
The Belgian forward scored the winner away to Southampton to reach eight Man United goals quicker than Andy Cole, Robin Van Persie, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Eric Cantona and Dwight Yorke.
But after the final whistle, the day turned somewhat sour for the 24-year-old.
Man United’s team bus left St Mary’s without their top scorer as Lukaku took his sweet time in providing a urine sample for drug-testers.
The ex-Everton forward was selected at random after the game’s conclusion and the process took so long that Jose Mourinho and the rest of the squad decided to leave without him.
Lukaku was left to get a lonely taxi back to Manchester.
It seems that the ongoing issue around his personalised chant is also causing United’s No9 some grief.
Lukaku was serenaded by the travelling fans throughout the game as United supporters defiantly sung the now infamous chant that infers Lukaku has a large penis.
The player’s agent, Mino Raiola, has responded to the issue saying: “He’d like the song to stop.
“They are talking more about the song than about his football. That’s his and my quote.”
