Instagramgate rumbles on.
PSG headed into their clash with Montpellier at the summit of Ligue 1 following six wins in six games.
But a row between Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Dani Alves, involving free-kicks, penalties and Instagram, threatened to overshadow PSG’s fast start.
The fact Neymar was left out of the game with a foot injury, despite training the day before, only served to heighten the gossip and rumours.
So all eyes were on Cavani.
But it’s fair to say it didn’t go well, as Montpellier held on for a 0-0 draw.
Cavani’s numbers didn’t make for good reading.
The Uruguayan touched the ball just 26 times despite playing 90 minutes.
He had no shots, no dribbles, no headers and was dispossessed a total of four times.
All in all a tricky night’s work.
Kylian Mbappe didn’t get on any better, losing the ball seven times and not winning any aerial duels.
Can’t they all just like each other on Instagram again and get on with it?
