Ex-Barcelona striker ruins Zinedine Zidane’s incredible record in the 94th minute

Zinedine Zidane now has more losses than titles after Antonio Sanabria's winner for Real Betis

Going into Real Madrid’s game with Real Betis last night Zinedine Zidane had won as many titles as he had lost games.

His 94 matches in charge of Madrid had yielded seven titles, including two Champions League trophies, at the cost of just seven losses.

Pretty special, we’re sure you’ll agree.

Heading into the 94th minute at the Bernabeu it looked like Zidane was going to escape with that record intact, albeit not the three points he would have been hoping for.

But then Antonio Sanabria rose to head past Keylor Navas and consign Zidane’s record to history.

Ouch.

Bang goes the record

To make matters worse Sanabria came through Barcelona’s academy and played for their B team before moving on.

The 21-year-old Paraguay international moved from Barcelona to Sassuolo, Roma and Betis, via a loan spell at Sporting Gijon.

Madrid are now down in seventh place while Barcelona are at the top of La Liga with five wins from five games.

Sign him (back) up, Barcelona.
