Star Wars actor Mark Hamill has become an unintentional Wolves fan, apparently.
That’s right, the guy who plays Luke Skywalker – the renowned light-sabre wielding Jedi Knight – ‘liked’ a tweet sent to him by a Wolves fan over the weekend, assuming it was in reference to the animal and not the West Midlands-based football club.
An easy mistake to make, admittedly.
The actor later revealed that he’d never heard of the Championship side, but the Twitter mix-up has still sent shockwaves through the galaxy (or at least the footballing world), with fans from every corner of the country tweeting the 65-year-old in a desperate attempt to convince him to support their club.
But the 65-year-old – who also found fame as a voice-actor – has pledged his allegiance to Wolves, stating they “made me feel like family”.
However, that hasn’t stopped fans tweeting the Last Jedi actor in an attempt to make him change loyalties.
Check out this fiendish Jedi mind trick.
Ah, us crazy Brits and our bogus football teams, eh?
It seems the magic of Mark rubbed off on Wolves over the weekend, who continued their great start to the Championship season with a 1-0 win over Millwall.
However, we’re still not convinced we’ll be seeing Hamill at the Molineux anytime soon.
