Kylian Mbappe has revealed he played a part in Ousmane Dembele’s decision to join Barcelona this summer.
The 18-year-old says he encouraged Dembele to join the Spanish giants and “become a great player alongside Messi and Suarez” following the sale of Neymar.

Speaking to Foot Mercato, Mbappe said: “We talked about it and he asked me what I thought.
“I told him to go there because it was a great opportunity for him.
“He can really become a great player alongside Messi and Suarez in attack.
“He’s really going to improve.
“He already has incredible talent, but he can make another step up.”
After much speculation, Dembele managed to force his move from Borussia Dortmund to Barca last month after refusing to train with the Bundesliga side.
The France international was the club’s No 1 target to replace Neymar, after the Brazilian moved to PSG in a staggering €222m world-record deal.
Mbappe was also subject to heavy transfer speculation over the summer, eventually moving to PSG himself in a bizarre loan move from Monaco that will eventually lead to a €180m permanent switch next summer.
Mbappe added: “Dembele and I have a passion for football.
“All that about ‘prices’ or whatever doesn’t worry us.
“All we care about is the pitch.”
The teenager will likely make his PSG debut in Friday’s Ligue 1 game away to Metz.
