Let’s be honest; watching England play is a lot of hard work.
So much so that, after 45 minutes against Slovakia, we were just glad not facing a real top dog like Iceland.
England’s fairly crucial World Cup qualifier didn’t get off to the best of starts this evening, with young Marcus Rashford giving away the ball inside the opening three minutes, leading to an early Slovakia goal.
The Three Lions eventually levelled thanks to Eric Dier firing home from a corner.
Spurs fans, need a reason to feel upbeat?
Seven of England’s last eight goals have been scored, or assisted, by a Tottenham player.
With the score at 1-1 and half-time looming, Slovakia had a real chance of going ahead yet again when Cahill completely misses a simple clearance, leading to Slovakia’s Vladmir Weiss to run through on goal.
Luckily, Kyle Walker arrived just in time to nick the ball away.
But did he win the ball?
We’re not so sure.
Fortunately for England, it looks like the referee saw the ball change direction and assumed the defender must have kicked it.
Lucky escape for England?
We think so, as that could’ve easily been a red card.
