Alexis Sanchez has reportedly asked to be released from the national team camp for 24 hours, according to Chilean media.
The Arsenal star’s future has been up in the air all summer, and Sunday’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool could be the final straw for the Gunners forward.
Now Chilean news outlet T13 report Sanchez has asked the national team head coach Juan Antonio Pizzi for 24 hours off to sort out ‘other commitments’.
The Arsenal man has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League rivals Manchester City, and according to Sky Sports has had a transfer request turned down.
That allegation has been denied by the Gunners, but it is clear that things are not all well in North London.

Arsenal have already resigned themselves to losing midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for a fee of around £40million.
The season has started terribly for Wenger’s side, losing two of their opening three matches, leaving them 16th in the Premier League table.
