The Champions League is back folks, with five Premier League club’s competing in this season’s group stage.
Spurs have the tricky task of getting past Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Apoel, while Manchester United, Man City and Liverpool have been given relatively easy tasks to reach the last 16.
Premier League champions Chelsea will be happy with their draw in Group C, although they’ll be wary of going up against Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

And, of course, everyone’s focus is clearly on Diego Costa and which side he’ll be playing on when the two meet.
So, let’s beg the question…
Can Diego Costa play for Atletico Madrid against Chelsea?
If Diego Costa moves to Atletico, he will not be able to play against Chelsea in the Champions League… or against anyone else for that matter.
Costa will be barred from playing in all competitions until January, when Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban expires.
But if Chelsea and Atletico happen to be drawn against each other in the knockout stages and Costa has made the move, there will be nothing to stop him playing against the Blues.
Can Diego Costa play for Chelsea against Atletico Madrid?
There is nothing to stop Costa playing for Chelsea against Atletico, if he gets picked.
But that would require a drastic turnaround in his relationship with Conte.
Costa accused Conte of “treating him like a criminal” and blasted the Blues boss for pricing him out of a dream return to Madrid.
If the striker doesn’t move in the summer transfer window, his first challenge will be to force himself into Chelsea’s Champions League squad.
That in itself is far from certain, with Alvaro Morata first choice and Costa seemingly falling below Michy Batshuayi in the pecking order due to his attitude.
Ahead of the group stage, Conte must choose the 25 players eligible to play for the Blues in the competition.

- ADD TO BETSLIP: Tuchel next Chelsea boss, 6/4
“Last night he was 14/1 to be the next Prem boss to go – now our traders have been forced to slash him to just 6/4.”
“And with Thomas Tuchel hovering that price will only go one way.”
