Last season Jordan Pickford’s job largely involved him picking the ball out of the Sunderland net.
In between those moments, the English goalkeeper proved he was quite special with a string of saves to spare the Black Cats’ blushes further.
But something that many fans will not have realised is the young stopper’s remarkable range of passing.
The new Everton keeper has unleashed the potent weapon on a number of occasions already this season since moving to Goodison Park in the summer.
But there was one moment that most people will not have seen in the Toffees’ draw against Manchester City on Monday night – mainly because it happened pre-match.
In a haze of firework fumes, the Sky Sports cameras picked up Pickford directing a pinpoint pass from his area to a member of the Everton coaching staff.
And, without moving an inch, Pickford’s pass from his hands found the coach, a good 50 yards away.
Check out the images of how it all went down below.
The next great England goalkeeper? Probably.
