INTER MILAN manager Luciano Spalletti admits Chelsea could be primed to make a move for Antonio Candreva.
Antonio Conte is keen to lure the versatile 30-year-old to Stamford Bridge, if a £25million deal can be agreed.
And Spalletti, who took over as manager at the San Siro in the summer, insists Chelsea “could try something.”
When asked about the situation regarding Candreva ahead of the Serie A opener against Fiorentina, he said: “My position is to keep him — and the club agrees with me.
“For now he has not shown any other signals.
“We go forward calmly, then I don’t know what could happen tomorrow.
“As far as I can tell, Chelsea could try to do something.
“You are the ones who always anticipate these situations, so I should ask you.”
Candreva joined Inter from Lazio for £19m last summer, despite interest from Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Spalletti appears to have won his battle with Manchester United to keep Ivan Perisic.
Jose Mourinho’s side have started the season in blistering form and the Croatian is expected to start against Fiorentina.
