The future looks golden for Watford under new boss Marco Silva.
The Portuguese manager joined the Hornets from relegated Hull at the start of the summer, and has already rung in wholesale changes to the side that struggled to do much beyond survive relegation last season.
Silva has so far added England Under-21 duo Will Hughes and Nathaniel Chalobah to his ranks, alongside Spanish right-back Kiko Femenia and Austria Under-21 goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann.
NOT PICKED YOUR FANTASY FOOTBALL TEAM YET? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
But the young manager has urged the club to continue pursuing new faces, with Brazilian wonderkid Richarlison top of his summer wishlist.
According to the Hertfordshire Mercury, the 20-year-old forward has agreed personal terms with the Vicarage Road side and is all set to complete the switch.
However, the deal is still awaiting the necessary clearance.
The Fluminese starlet has been the subject to interest from other clubs in the Premier League and across Europe this summer, including Dutch giants Ajax and Serie A clubs Sampdoria and Inter Milan.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been monitoring the Brazil Under-20 star in recent weeks.
But it looks like he’s on his way to Hertfordshire this summer.
Securing Richarlison for Watford ahead of multiple big clubs reflects Silva’s coup last January, when he managed to convince Inter star Andrea Ranocchia to join relegation candidates Hull on loan.
Richarlison is said to be a rising star in Brazil, having netted ten times in 14 league games for Fluminese this season.
The youngster can play across the forward line, and uses his lighting pace to beat defenders.
Surely one to watch this season.
