Lionel Messi humiliates Sergio Ramos with dirtiest nutmeg of 2017

Lionel Messi steals the show by burying Sergio Ramos six feet under in the lead up to his goal

The season hasn’t even officially started, but the rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid fans has already intensified.

The Catalan club claimed a 3-2 win over Madrid in the second ever El Clasico outside Spain as they played out a superb encounter in front of 66,000 fans in Miami.

Gerard Pique scored a second-half winner for Barca in the pulsating encounter, which saw Lionel Messi and Ivan Rakitic also on the scoresheet.

Madrid hit back through Mateo Kovacic and Marco Asensio before Pique’s 50th minute winner.

But there was one moment that left Barca fans gleaming, as arch-nemesis Sergio Ramos was done like a kipper by Messi in the lead up to his third-minute goal.

As Messi picked up the ball 40 yards out, Ramos rushed from defence to launch a challenge on the Argentine wizard.

But Messi being, well, Messi, decided he’d just pop the ball through Ramos’ legs, before seeing Ramos collapse in scenes not too dissimilar to your last game of Jenga.

Check out Messi’s goal below, and there’s even the incident in its infinite gif-looped glory.

Better luck next time, Sergio!
