Juventus will go into next season’s Serie A looking to secure a seventh consecutive title, and realistically who’s betting against them?
The Turin side are the dominant force in Italy, and one of the world’s most successful clubs.
Not only have they dominated Italian football in recent years, but they usually have the pick of the talent too.
That much is evident with the likes of Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain up front, signed from Palermo and Napoli respectively in the last few seasons.
Coupled with Mario Mandzukic, Miralem Pjanic and even Juan Cuadrado, Juve have one mean attack.
And it’s just got a whole lot meaner, with the signing of Patrik Schick from Sampdoria.
The Czech Republic international has had a sensational first season in Serie A, and attracted interest from several top sides all over Europe.
Scouts from Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea all watched Schick last season, while Roma were heavy favourites to snap him up.
The towering forward is currently showing us what he can at the European Under-21 Championship, and was part of the Czech side that beat Italy 3-1 on Wednesday.
With an eye for goal, and the skill and physicality to cause defences a real headache, Schick is likely to give Higuain plenty of competition in the first-team next season.
And personally, the thought of an exciting Czech attacker in the black and white stripes of Juventus is making us nostalgic.
