The Turkish Super Lig top scorers list is a who’s who of late-Noughties top strikers.
There’s Samuel Eto’o, Robin van Persie, Pierre Webo and, err… Hugo Rodallega and Ricardo Vaz Te.
But sitting atop all of them, with 23 goals from 28 games, is Alanyaspor’s Vagner Love.
The Brazilian with the best name in football picked up the Turkish Super Lig golden boot despite playing for a side that finished 12th out of 18 teams.
The 32-year-old has scored 13 goals in his last eight games and, looking further back that that, has 23 goals in 20 games.
But his form has plenty to do with Alanyaspor’s loyal supporters.
You see, Love didn’t get off to the best of starts with Alanyaspor, failing to find the net in his first seven games.
He was failing to live up to his lofty reputation and struggling for confidence, not to mention goals.
That’s when Alanyaspor’s fans stepped in and organised a prayer service to help Love rediscover his lust for goals.
It worked an absolute treat.
His goalscoring run included a double against Galatasaray as well as goals against Fenerbahce and Besiktas.
But Alanyaspor’s fans will now be praying that one of Turkey’s traditional ‘big’ clubs don’t come along and poach him.
It’s a tough life being a football supporter.
They don’t make adverts like this any more…
