JOSE MOURINHO could flog Anthony Martial this summer to free up funds to sign world class stars.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Ivan Perisic in recent weeks.
United have a transfer warchest to spend on players but they will be keeping a close eye on Uefa’s Financial Fair Play rule.
And France international Martial could be one the key names leaving Old Trafford having failed to convince Mourinho of a regular place in the first team according to reports.
Martial, who became the most expensive teenager in world football following his £58million move from Monaco in 2015, started less than half of United’s Premier League games last season.
And he knows his place will come further under threat if United can conclude the deals for either Griezmann or Perisic.
Martial, who is currently soaking up the sun on holiday, reportedly fell out with the Portuguese boss earlier in the campaign.
The 21-year-old felt he was being made a scapegoat when Mourinho criticised his player’s “lack of winning mentality.”
He has been linked with a move back to Ligue 1 with both Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco.
