Alexis Sanchez listed as Bayern Munich player as he’s picked for Chile’s Confederation Cup squad

The 28-year-old was named with a Bayern badge next to his name during La Roja's latest squad announcement but it was quickly corrected

The guy who does Chile’s graphics is clearly a Bayern Munich fan… or a Spurs fan.

On Tuesday night Juan Antonio Pizzi named his squad to Germany, Australia and Cameroon in their Confederations Cup group.

But when the squad appeared on Chile’s official twitter page, Alexis Sanchez was listed as a Bayern Munich player.

The Chile national football team's Twitter feed mistakenly sent out this image of their selection for the Confederations Club and named Alexis Sanchez as a Bayern Munich player

Sanchez has linked with a £50million move to Bayern Munich, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain also interested in taking the 29-goal forward.

The 28-year-old has been in a long-running contract stand-off with Arsenal, and the club have offered him around £250,000 a week with a year left to run.

But that is about £50,000 short of what Sanchez wants to take home every week, and he has been threatening to take his two beloved dogs Atom and Humber to pastures new.

The error was rectified quickly and Sanchez appeared alongside Arsenal’s badge in their next upload but as we all know, screenshots last forever.

Chile’s Confederations Cup bid set to kick off on June 18 in Moscow as Russia prepares to host the World Cup next year.

Sanchez has the chance to impress on the international stage once again after starring at the 2014 World Cup and in La Roja’s two recent Copa America wins.

Pizzi’s side beat Argentina in the 2015 final to win the Copa for the first time in their history – and then they repeated the feat a year later.

Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich has been in Munich to discuss a potential move to Bayern.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would rather let Sanchez run down his contract than sell to a rival, but given the discord he has shown on the pitch this season that tactic could backfire on Wenger.
