Los Blancos’ No.10 has hinted regularly he would prefer first team football at a big club — but preferably one in the Champions League.

And radio station, Caracol, insist confirmation of a move to Old Trafford will be announced on Sunday after the last La Liga game of the season.

And Spanish football expert Guiellem Balague appeared to corroborate the reports by tweeting the news this morning:

Real Madrid have two domestic clashes left — at Celta Vigo and Malaga — and four points will see them confirmed as champions.

While, Zidane’s men also have the possibility of winning La Liga and being crowned European kings in the season for the first time since 1960, as Juventus lie in wait in the Champions League final.

Key to their success this season, has been the Frenchman’s incredible rotation of his squad.

The famed ‘B team’, which sees the likes of Rodriguez, Alvaro Morata, Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio deployed with Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and Co. dropping to the bench, have proved immense in recent weeks.

Zidane has picked his second string recent La Liga games and have not been let down.

However, the problem for Rodriguez is that, no matter how well he performs at the Bernabeu, he is firmly part of that side, and he wants to go somewhere where he feels loved.

The 25-year-old was the fourth most-expensive player in football history when Real Madrid paid Monaco £63million for his services in 2014.

But has dropped down the pecking order and was an unused substitute during the 2016 Champions League final victory over Atletico.
