LEON GORETZKA has reportedly signed a contract to join German champions Bayern Munich, this will allow out of favour Portuguese youngster Renato Sanches to join Manchester United this summer.
The German giants beat United to the signing of the Portugal international midfielder last summer, but the Euro 2016 winner has failed to force his way into Ancelotti’s starting line up.
The youngster only completed his first 90 minutes for the club in last weeks victory over Darmstadt and Carlo Ancelotti admitted he expects more from the midfielder next season as reports flood in linking Sanches to a move to Manchester United.
Ancelotti, who will be without the retiring Xabi Alonso next season, was also reported to have identified Schalke’s Leon Goretzka, the soon to be out of contract Schalke player, as an ideal replacement for Sanches.
If United are to bring in Sanches then they will be forst to play at least £30million a large sum considering how much the club spent on Paul Pogba who plays a similar position.
However ahead of the clubs clash agaisnt RB Leipzig the Italian boss insisted the former Benfica man would stay.
He said “Renato Sanches has his first season here. For such young players it is often difficult to get used to,”
He continued “But of course we expect more from him. We must be patient with him. He will have more chances to play next season. He will stay here.”
