Mario Balotelli trolls Paris Saint-Germain in cheeky Instagram post after leading Nice to 3-1 victory

Striker opened the scoring in shock win to leave Unai Emery's men potentially six points off Monaco in top spot

MARIO BALOTELLI has trolled Paris Saint-Germain in the wake of Nice’s 3-1 over the current French champions.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City striker opened the scoring as Ligue 1’s surprise package ran riot at home to leave PSG trailing league leaders Monaco by three points.

And after clashing with a number of big-name opponents, Balotelli took to social media to announce: “Paris is the past.”

The 26-year-old opened the scoring in the 26th minute and played his part as PSG also saw two men sent off in the final four minutes.

Unai Emery’s side could now drop six points behind Monaco if the Champions League semi-finalists win their game in-hand.

And Balotelli has surely stoked the flames with his cheeky post after fiery run-ins with the likes of Edinson Cavani, Thiago Silva and Blaise Matuidi.

The ex-Inter Milan and AC Milan ace has now found the back of the net 16 times in all competitions since his move to Nice last summer.

The shock switch represented Balotelli’s last chance to make it big in European football.

And his goalscoring form could see him seal a move back up the food chain, although Nice will remain a good outlet due to their addition of Champions League football.
