JOSE MOURINHO has demanded a space be cleared on the Manchester United wall of fame at the club’s training complex in Carrington.
The United boss wants the current generation of players to create their OWN history, clearing a blank space on the wall that leads to the canteen.
It is a subtle piece of motivational psychology from the Special One, as he bids to get United to win their first Europa League this season and make the top four.

Currently, former United greats like Sir Matt Busby, George Best, Sir Bobby Charlton, Peter Schmeichel, Roy Keane, Paul Scholes and Cristiano Ronaldo adorn the walls.
But Mourinho has urged staff at the AON Training Complex to create a blank space, so that the current team can make their mark on history.
According to the Mail, Mourinho spotted that some of the images on the wall included snaps of some of the current squad like Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick.
But Mourinho wanted them moved, including the image of the FA Cup win last May under Louis van Gaal and his first trophy, the Community Shield and the League Cup, that United won in March.
Despite winning the Champions League three times, United have never won Europe’s second-most prestigious competition, formerly known as the Uefa Cup.

A source said: “Jose wants his players to feel like they are part of the fabric of the club. He felt that it was wrong that the recent successes have not been marked and wanted to change that.
“He insisted that he did not appear on any of the pictures, but he asked for group shots from the FA Cup win last year and the League Cup and Community Shield
