Here’s what you need to know about them.
Elimination mode
FIFA 19 will feature a Survival Mode that can be played without a referee.
Here, when you score a goal, one of your players leaves the pitch. The first to lose five players wins – it’s as simple as that.
When asked about whether Survival Mode was influenced by Fortnite and other battle royale games, EA Sports creative director Matt Prior told Eurogamer: “That battle royale thing kicked off long after we came up with this idea, but it’s funny people are associating it [survival mode] with battle royale.”
“I’m sure people won’t believe me when I say this, but it genuinely had nothing to do with that! But it is funny how it’s being seen as that!”
No Rules
No Rules is exactly what you’d expect it to be – and lets you tackle, trip and run offsides to your heart’s content.
There’s also a number of other parameters you can play around with – including just having to score goals with headers and volleys.
First To, Best Of and Home vs Away
First To sets a goal limit to add pressure, while Best Of applies this concept to matches.
Here, players take part in a best-of-three or a best-of-five series. Home vs Away sees you pay in two back-to-back matches where the winner is determined by the number of goals after two games.
All of these modes will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC when the game launches on September 2
