FIFA 19 is literally right around the corner.
In just a month or so players around the world will be trying to build the best Ultimate Team, whilst figuring out the new game mechanics.
We spoke to Conran ‘Rannerz’ Tobin, pro-FIFA player for Roma FNATIC to get the best advice on how to stay on top and what we should be looking forward to in the new game.
Despite his expertise, Rannerz hasn’t had a chance to play the new game yet but did have some thoughts saying:
“I’ve seen the various trailers for it and they’ve got me really hyped!”
He added: “The new tactics system is looking very intricate.
“They’ve got new automatic play-styles, including some unusual ones like ‘Press after possession loss’, which should make things pretty interesting!”
On the topic of new gameplay additions, Rannerz spoke about the new active touch system in FIFA 19.
“I think there’s a possibility that it could make the gameplay a bit more streamlined and the animations look a bit more natural. I’m basically just hoping it’s going to let us score some more impressive-looking goals!”
Rannerz is hoping the new shooting mechanics will cut out ‘the blame game’ saying:
“It should add a new level of skill to the game, I look forward to it. It’s going to really limit excuses that people can make, (putting the blame on the mechanics of the game etc) and really put the focus back on the players to maintain concentration and take responsibility.”
Rannerz showed limited concern over losing skill when the new FIFA comes out, preaching practice makes perfect:
“I believe with the amount of practice I put in any changes will be ironed out.”
He added: “It’s the same for everyone as we all need to learn how to play the latest version which makes it exciting as you never know who is going to be the best from one version to the next.”
For those budding Ultimate Team fans, Rannerz has some advice on how to approach it in FIFA 19:
“I’d recommend you head straight into FUT Draft. This will enable you to get a lot of coins quickly so you can build a competitive team quite quickly.”
“From there you can start shaping your team ready for FUT Champions. It’s highly unlikely you will pack the likes of Ronaldo and Messi so Draft is a great way to get a competitive team which you can build on during the season.”
He does enjoy watching other YouTubers in his spare time though.
“I do really enjoy Castro. Not only is he a good player, he’s also very entertaining to watch. I also follow some of the Hashtag guys.”
