A number of England players could be in line for a massive boost if they beat Belgium this week.
Following the incredible display that saw the Three Lions decimate Panama 6-1 in their World Cup group, Jesse Lingard was awarded a boosted World Cup card.
However, with Harry Jane and John Stones both in fine form, they’re almost certainly be in contention to join the Man United star if they perform at a similar level again.
Lingard won a penalty then scored a rocket from outside of the box – topping it off with a Fortnite-inspired celebration.
So, what kind of improvements can we expect to see?
Well, Ligard’s base rating of 80 has been substantially improved to 83 – which means Kane could expect a card scored into the 90s should he get the Man of the Match award.
Stones, meanwhile, is only rated 80 – so should he get a boost we’d expect ratings well into the 80s.
Boosts to pace (87), dribbling (86), shooting (85) and passing (80) help round off a significant upgrade for Lingard.
England will have their work cut out against Belgium on Thursday – with Romelu Lukaku in particular looking a real threat.
Elsewhere, EA Sports used the data gathered from the new mode, and player stats they had amassed throughout the year to simulate the tournament online to establish a winner.
After a surprise filled group stage and tense semi-finals, France made it to the finals to face off against Germany in a gruelling 1-1 stalemate for a full 120 minutes.
The game ended in a penalty shootout with France taking the trophy in a 4-3 shootout result.
The Golden Boot award went to France’s Antoine Griezmann and Spain’s Isco, who each scored five goals.
Get your bets in now, as if the result of the actual World Cup turns out to be anything similar, you could be up a few bucks!
