PES 2018: Konami has just given PES players the update they’ve been waiting for

The series has sold more than 100 million units worldwide since 1995

Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer series has sold more 100 million copies worldwide since it kicked off in 1995, the Japanese publisher confirmed.

And to celebrate the occassion, PES 2018 players can now download a load of cool new additions – including 26 new kits and 100 updated likenesses.

Nike Mercurial Superflu 6 Elite boots can also be now be found on the game.

But it gets better. MyClub will be getting a fresh batch of Legend players.

These include the likes of Ronaldinho, Maradona, Johann Cruyff, Roberto Carlos, David Beckham, Romario, and Luis Figo.

There will also be a handful of bonuses such as coins, GP, contract renewals and other treats.

A community event will offer up ‘an amazing reward’ for scoring 100 million goals cumulatively, too.

Earlier this month, UEFA revealed the deal with Konami, which allowed PES to include the Champions League – will not be renewed.

“Konami has been a strong licensing partner for the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, with our competition brand being heavily featured within the video game and as part of the popular Konami-organised UEFA Champions League e-sports tournaments’,” said Marketing director of UEFA events Guy-Laurent Epstein.
