FIFA 18 just keeps throwing up surprises – but this one has to be our favourite.
There’s a way of playing as eight-year-old KID versions of your favourite stars – providing you’ve got the PC version of the game.
That’s because it’s a mod – a tweak of the game’s files – which are only accessible in the PC port.
If you want to test it out, you can download it here (we recommend just visiting the site to listen to some rather lovely music that plays).
Still, for those playing the game on console, which is most of us, YouTuber xAcceptiion, has posted footage of the young stars taking on some of the world’s most legendary Icons.

The team includes the likes of Pele, Patrick Vieira, Ronaldinho, Paolo Maldini – the list goes on.
They’re up against a team of eight-year-old versions including a young Francesco Totti and Journey star Alex Hunter.
So, who comes out on top?
The match kicks off and the kids are all right (see what I did there) – at least to start with.
They hold up the ball well before a costly error hands it to Ronaldo Nazario – who steams forward on one of his trademark runs.
He then passes to Pele who hammers the ball past the tiny goalkeeper. 1-0.
Sadly, that’s where the footage ends – although we’re pretty certain the kids get schooled.
It’s not the first time modders have decided to put kids in the game.
Back in FIFA 17, a mode called the ‘Cold Open Mod‘ allowed gamers to play as young stars.
It’s almost certain to make a return in FIFA 19.
