FIFA 18: One of the best cheap cards in the game is about to get even better

Wissam Ben Yedder's in line for a Man of the Match upgrade

He’s nicknamed ‘Benyebut’, which incorporates the French word for ‘goal’.

Now Man United fans know why – after Sevilla’s Wissam Ben Yedder came off the bench to score twice and send the Red Devils crashing out of the Champions League.

Yedder, 27, has become hugely popular with the FIFA community, with fans lavishing the Sevilla sharpshooter with praise on numerous sub-Reddits.

But he’s set to become even more revered as it’s likely EA Sports will give his stats a boost following his man-of-the-match display.

In standard form, the Frenchman can be picked up for around 2,500 coins – peanuts for an 81-rated striker.

For that, you’ll get 83 pace, 79 shooting, 75 passing and 85 dribbling.

If you’re after a bit more firepower, there’s an 84-rated Team of the Group stage card available – which sees huge leaps in all the key attributes.

Coming in at around 60,000 coins – it’s substantially more expensive, but a fraction of the price you’d play for many other players with similar stats.

But that could pale in comparison to the MOTM card Yedder may be rewarded this week, with some fans on the FIFA-sub reddit believing EA will score him as high as 85.

Boosts in shooting will no doubt see his scores rocket to near the 87 mark.

Of course, don’t expect it to come cheap – for a card of this quality, a price tag of between 100-150k coins wouldn’t be too far fetched.

Still, you need only look at the reviews to see how highly-rated he is.

One gamer wrote: “He is 100% my favourite player!

“It makes squad building hard when I change my team because I can’t bring myself to drop him.”

Another added: “He’s a FIFA legend. Every year he’s got quality cards. Pace, finishing, four stars and that cheeky weak foot. I’m here for it!”

We hear you, man. We hear you.
