When it comes to raw shot power, the likes of Lukas Podolski’s left boot come to mind. But on FIFA, the German has some serious competition.
Enter Schalke 04 centre back Naldo, whose shot power rivals the Galatasaray forward’s thunderous boot.
For the past few years, 35-year-old Naldo has consistently had one of the most powerful shots in the game. And EA has just made him even better.
The Brazilian was part of a group of players from the Bundesliga to profit from the Ratings Refresh.
That means his 82 base card has climbed to 84 – with improvements in shooting the biggest increase.
In FIFA 12, 13, 14 and 15 the Brazilian scored 90, before jumping to 92 in FIFA 16, 17 and 18. It’s now a huge 94 – the same as Cristiano Ronaldo. And we all know he can hit a ball very, very hard.

Naldo’s so good that FIFA fans have sub-Reddits dedicated to him.
Some even play him up front to put his 6ft 6ins height and 93 heading ability to good use. He also seems particularly adept at long-range free kicks.
One fan wrote: “It’s a lot of fun to do later in the game. The fact that he’s 6’6 with 93 heading is amazing. He’s also great with long shots and shot power.”
Now for the best part.
Naldo’s not that expensive, costing around 2,000 coins, according to the latest Futbin data. Best snap him up quick!
Other Bundesliga players to see ratings boosts include Bayern Munich’s Mats Hummels, Joshua Kimmich and Niklas Sule.
Man of the moment and potential future England international Leon Bailey has also risen from 76 to 81 thanks to his form with Bayer Leverkusen.
