FIFA 18 fans have noticed something very, very wrong with Mauro Icardi in the game.
EA Sports hasn’t given the Inter Milan striker his infamous tattoos.
The 24-year-old is known for having his entire torso covered with tattoos.
He sports a huge lion on his chest along with the names of his two daughters, Francesca and Isabella, who he shares with wife Wanda Nara.
He’s practically a living canvas.
But this is what he looks like in FIFA 18…
Clean as a whistle.
So, why aren’t his tattoos in the game?
It’s most likely due to licensing. The work will likely be copyrighted by the artist, so EA would have to ask for their permission to include it in the game.
In fact, 2K – behind the NBA2K basketball games – was sued for $1.1m recently for including tattoos without permission.
Some players in PES 2018, though, boast the tattoos they have in real life.
Neymar, who has been enjoying life at PSG since moving from Barca, had his entire body scanned – with each ink illustration perfectly captured.
So proud are Konami of the attention to detail that they’ve even given him a shirtless celebration – something not yet seen in EA’s games.
It’s a small detail, but it certainly adds up.
Christian Eriksen or Philippe Coutinho? Why not both in this weekend’s big game?
