FIFA 18 isn’t properly out yet but it’s already coming under fire – this time for one of its most innovative features.
This allows players to make changes on the fly – with a press of the RT or R2 button, when the ball goes out of play.
EA Sports introduced it as means to stop breaking up play and keep matches flowing.
Only, they’ve forgotten to introduce it to Ultimate Team – and it’s causing the community to kick off on the FIFA reddit.
One gamer wrote: “Quick subs in FUT. What the hell was EA thinking to not allow you to preset quick subs similarly to the modes outside FUT? This is madness!”
Another said:” I thought I was just too dumb to find it. Classic EA.”
It’s though EA will likely patch this soon after the game launches fully on September 29 – but until then, it’s incredibly frustrating.
FIFA 18 is a far superior game than FIFA 17 – but this is just one of many issues that are annoying gamers.
Frostbite, for all its good looks, still brings with it numerous annoying glitches and errors. We hope EA patches these in the coming weeks.
However, when it comes to gameplay, the shift towards a more tactical experience is welcome – encouraging you to really think about the game, and rewarding you amply when you do.
PES 2018, on the other hand, is vastly different – offering a faster, arguably more fun, football experience.
