FIFA 18 is not even out yet, but some fans claim to have found a way of telling whether you’re going to get a walkout player.
Supposedly, if there is a brighter light, then you’ll be getting a walkout ‘board’ player with a rating of 83 or higher. If it’s a dimmer light, then you’ll be getting a less rare, lower rated player.
Although the image seems to be verified, it’s been met with a mixed response. Some say it will ruin the suspense of opening the pack in the first place.
One wrote: “I wish i never seen this. Now i’m gonna know its a bad pack.”
Another said:” As weird as it may sound, I will miss the little pause before a walkout.. at least I knew if I was getting trash or a high rated player.”
Pack opening animations were massively overhauled in FIFA 18 to make them more of a spectacle.
Rather than just walk out, players now show individual traits – so Ronaldo runs out and does his trademark celebration, while Dele Alli does the ‘Dele wave’.
Players are flanked each side by huge billboards that reveal their rating, while fireworks are let off in the background.
Speaking about FIFA 18, the web app is set to launch in the next day or so.
The app will serve to kick things off for the new game – allowing users to collect daily gifts and build squads early.
We go through everything you need to know about the FIFA 18 Web App.
When is the Web App released?
FIFA fan website Ultimate Team states that although there is no concrete release date, it’s possible to make accurate predictions based on EA’s release schedule in previous years.
They predict the FIFA 18 Web App will launch this week on September 21.
How much does the app cost?
The Web App is completely free so make sure to get in on the action.
What is the Webstart and will it return?
The Webstart will definitely be coming back this year. It allows you to trade and make coins, collect daily gifts and open returning user FUT packs.
Play it right and it’ll give you a real edge come FIFA 18 launch.
Sounds great – should I just open loads of packs when it launches?
Nope! Ultimate Team recommends Webstart users to avoid splurging FUT coins on packs during this period.
