PES 2018: Konami has snapped up two incredible legends as the war against FIFA 18 rages on

It's a devastating blow to EA Sports

PES 2018 developer Konami has secured two more legends for the upcoming game, in a devastating blow to FIFA 18.

Brazilian legends Romário de Souza Faria (known simply as Romário) and Socrates will be available in the game’s myClub mode.

Striker Romario was known for his clinical finishing and is regarded as one of the greatest forwards of all time.

He netted 55 goals in 70 appearances for Brazil, making him the third-highest goalscorer for his national team, ranking only behind Pelé and Ronaldo.

Socrates, who sadly died in 2011, was considered to be one of the greatest midfielders ever to play the game.

In 1983, he scooped the South American Footballer of the Year award and was named in the 100 greatest living players in 2004.

The news comes as Konami secured an exclusive in-game license and marketing agreement with CR Vasco da Gama, one of Brazil’s most popular football clubs.

As part of the partnership, fans will be able to play their favorite Vasco da Gama players as well as play matches at the club’s home stadium, Estádio São Januário, which will all be exclusively featured in PES 2018.

Other exclusive premiere licensed clubs from Brazil that will be showcased in PES 2018 includes: Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (Corinthians), Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (Flamengo).

Brazil’s most famous tournament Campeonato Brasileiro of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) will also be included.
