Kevin-Prince Boateng has apparently dreamt of a replacement for Neymar… himself.
The Las Palmas midfielder took to Twitter after the Brazilian’s 222 million euros move to Paris St Germain – claiming it would cause a headache for his FIFA 18 Ultimate Team.
The move to Ligue 1 means the lethal MSN combination of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar is no more – so Boateng is right to be apprehensive.
The 30-year-old first tweeted that Chelsea’s Eden Hazard would be a good fit.
But he then changed his mind, and jokingly named himself as the perfect player to fill the void left by the Brazilian.
Neymar’s move to PSG is a nightmare for PES 2018 developer Konami – as the Brazilian featured on the cover of the ‘Barcelona edition’ of the game.
The Japanese company have until September 14, when the game hits the shelves, to find a new cover star.
Bizarrely, Konami has still been promoting the now out-of-date version of the game to its fans – who are unsurprisingly tearing the company to shreds on social media.
FIFA 18 meanwhile, kicks off on September 29 – and features Cristiano Ronaldo on the cover.
He won’t be going anywhere any time soon.
