FIFA 17: This is what happens when the quickest team takes on the slowest team

Against all odds, the slower team end up being more effective

FIFA 18 may be on the horizon but gamers are still well and truly engrossed in last year’s game.

YouTuber BMOnus used FIFA Career Mode to find out what team fared better – a side made up of the world’s fastest players, or 11 of the slowest.

NOT PICKED YOUR FANTASY FOOTBALL TEAM YET? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

The slowest team, who for this experiment is Manchester United, includes the likes of Olivier Giroud and the legendary Francesco Totti up front.

Bizarrely, Per Mertesacker is left on the bench – even though he’s widely regarded as having zero pace.

The fastest team, playing as Manchester City, features Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang up front – all with FIFA speed scores well into the 90s.

Even the keeper, Aleksandr Belenov has a 77 sprint speed rating – so he’s no slouch.

There’s a lot of pace in the Manchester City team

How did they do?

BMOnus simmed the season with the winner being the team that finished higher in the Premier League.

Man United, the slower team, end up doing better than their City rivals – but neither could win the Prem

Against all odds, the slower team came out on top.

United came third behind Chelsea and Spurs, while City had to settle for fourth place.

The Red Devils bagged an impressive 59 goals, compared to City’s 54.

Giroud had a decent campaign for United, netting 11 league goals, while Bale was City’s top scorer with 10.

So, how much will FIFA 18 cost?

FIFA 18 will cost around £49.99 – but given the demand, some outlets may undercut this.

We expect the cheapest the game will go for at launch to be around £45.

What package would you recommend?

Personally, I wouldn’t get tied up by Ronaldo loans etc.

All many people will really care about is the game, so go for the cheaper FIFA 18 option.

Just invest wisely and buy players in the market who you feel will shoot up in value – Ones to Watch is a good start.
