Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the two best players on the planet – so what would happen if they played for the same team?
The line up includes the likes of Marcelo, Neymar and Andres Iniesta, so on paper it’s a force to be reckoned with.
To test how effective it was, he put the team through its paces on FIFA 17 Career Mode – and tracked their progress in the Premier League (This is FIFA after all).
Surely they’re unstoppable, right?
At the half way point, Los Blancos lie in fifth place – behind the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Surely things get better at the end of the season, though, right?
Sadly, they don’t.
The Real Madrid team can only settle for fifth place – with Juventus (who somehow find themselves in the Premier League, too) topping the table.
How was this even possible?
Look closely and poor Real could have been subjected to some shocking managerial decisions.
For one, Messi only played in 16 of the games.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, played 38 times but only netted 12 goals – pretty poor by his lofty standards.
So, there you have it.
According to FIFA, a team containing Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar and Iniesta isn’t as good as you’d think.
Especially if the manager decides to leave Messi on the bench.
