What would happen if the best players from Europe took on an all-star South America team?
YouTuber BMOnus found out – by using FIFA 17 Career Mode.
Let’s take a look at the line ups.
For Europe, playing as Real Madrid, there’s the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale.
Robert Lewandowski leads the charge up front, while his Bayern Munich teammate Manuel Neuer is between the sticks.
In the South America team, playing as Santos FC, Neymar and Lionel Messi are on the wings with Luis Suarez up front.
Angel Di Maria and Arturo Vidal occupy the midfield, while Dani Alves and Marcelo guard the flanks.
It’s worth saying that both teams, for some strange reason, find themselves playing the Premier League – this is FIFA after all.
At the half way point, Santos sit at the top of the table with 46 points. They’ve lost just one game.
Real Madrid are second with 39 points – but they’ve been defeated four times.
Can Santos keep it together for the rest of the season?
They sure can.
Although Real Madrid’s Ronaldo ends up being the league’s top scorer with 20, the Portuguese wasn’t able to knock Santos FC off the top spot.
Suarez scored a respectable 15 goals – putting him third in the most goals list.
So, there you have it.
According to FIFA, a team of the best South American players would beat a team made up of Europe’s brightest stars.
