FIFA 18: 7 players who absolutely deserve better ratings in the new game

These magnificent seven are almost certain of a ratings hike in EA SPORTS next game

FIFA 18 is nearly with us – which can only mean one thing – a new set of player ratings.

We’ve picked out seven players who have starred for their clubs last season – and are more than deserving of an upgrade in FIFA 18.

Let’s kick off with the striker everyone is talking about.

Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe’s form for Monaco has been incredible this season so he’ll definitely be boosted come FIFA 18.

We’d expect to see hikes in pace and shooting, not to mention a bump in the Physical category – particularly strength and stamina.

His overall rating won’t reach 90, but we’d expect a score in the high 80s at the very least.

Kasper Dolberg

The 19-year-old striker has been making waves since he burst on to the scene at Ajax.

His top card boasts 80 pace, 85 dribbling and 86 shooting – not to mention an imposing 80 physical score.

We’d expect his  score to rise from his FIFA 17 winter upgrade score of 75 to around the 85 mark in the next game.

Dries Mertens

The 30-year-old has been incredible for Napoli – and is more than deserving of an upgrade in FIFA 18.

His top card awarded him 96 pace, 94 dribbling, 95 shooting and 92 passing – making him one of the game’s best.

His standard 85 winter upgrade card will rise to around the 89 mark – with the shooting, pace and dribbling each getting a boost.

Bas Dost

Another striker who has been in sensational form.

The 27-year-old’s 80 rated winter upgrade card didn’t boast much pace – but he’s been lethal in front of goal this season.

We’d expect a score closer to 86 – with boosts in shooting and physical scores for the Sporting Lisbon ace.

Emil Forsberg

The RB Leipzig attacking midfielder has been awesome this season – especially when it comes to his ability to unlock defences.

His top card saw the Swede awarded 86, while his winter upgrade was 79.

We’d expect a score around that mark in FIFA 18.

Andrea Belotti

The 22-year-old has been outstanding for Torino and boasts a top FIFA 17 card rating of 85.

His standard gold card was rated 80, so we reckon he’ll sit somewhere in the middle come FIFA 18.

Marcus Alonso

The Spaniard was instrumental in Chelsea’s Premier League victory – and is more than deserving on his top rated 90 card.

The former Bolton defender has linked well with Eden Hazard down the left wing and become a fan favourite at Stanford Bridge.

His standard winter upgrade card was rated at just 79 – so we’d expect this to be at least 10 points higher in the next game.
