FIFA 18 is just a week away and will see the return of Alex Hunter for The Journey part 2.
It’s been almost a year since many of you would have played the FIFA 17 original, so we’ve created this little refresher to ensure you’re up to speed when FIFA 18 kicks off.
IS YOUR FANTASY FOOTBALL TEAM ALREADY IN PIECES? DREAM TEAM WEEKENDER IS JUST THE CURE
We’ve completed Hunter’s original storyline a few times now so we’re in a pretty good position to let you know each eventuality as the character reaches the journey’s end.
So what happens as you reach the climax?
Here goes…
With a Hunter-inspired team heading to Wembley for the FA Cup final, your hero has a chance to do what his grandfather never did – lift the famous trophy.

You receive a hell of a team talk from Coach Butler, who tells you that you can become a legend if you win this match (it’s as if he’d never heard of re-starting from a previous save)

You have a little bit of ‘me’ time with your lucky ball, before heading out into the tunnel.

Now, it’s business time.
You get in the tunnel only to be met with, you guessed it, the most hated man in football right now, Gaz Walker.
He brutally dishes out abuse to Hunter in the tunnel, saying the only reason why he was a friend of his when they were youngsters was because Hunter’s grandad had connections in the game.
Savage.

Then, BOOM! FIGHT TIME! Well, almost.
Hunter actually goes for Walker in the tunnel after the volley of abuse, but your good pals Toro and Li Li have your back and tell you to save it for the pitch.

You win the game, obviously.
Unless you suck.
At the end of the game there’s time for redemption, as Walker sits distraught on the pitch, Hunter offers to shake his hand.
(No, they don’t change team in the game, we’ve just used images from our many Journey finishes)

You lift the trophy in style, but the story is far from finished.

As you leave the stadium, this guy turns up.

Harold Walker, Alex’s absent father, returns after mugging you off for the entire season.
Now you’re successful, he wants back in… funny that.
But you’re not having much of it, and it’s payback time as you walk off as Harold offers his olive branch.

But it’s still not finished…
Back in your apartment, playing video games with new best buddy Danny Williams, agent Michael turns up.
He shows an interest in signing up Williams to his agency, but he’s also there because Jim Hunter wants to have a word with him.

Hunter’s grandad proceeds to hand Michael a signed card of himself (you would have seen this earlier in the storyline)

But it’s not quite done yet, as Coach Butler rings you up to say well done.
Well done for what? Well, you turn on the TV and there’s this.

“Hunter set for shock England call up”
It’s not quite official, but it looks like your beloved character is set to be named in the England squad for an upcoming World Cup.
