Injuries and suspensions update ahead of Game Week 28 – question mark over Erling Haaland

Dream Team brings you all the latest injury, suspension and selection updates ahead of Game Week 28 in one easily digestible dose.

League leaders Arsenal will be without first-choice centre-back William Saliba (£3.2m) for Leeds’ visit to the Emirates.

The Frenchman has been ruled out of the game with an ongoing back problem.

Meanwhile, Javi Gracia has been majorly inconvenienced by the international break as Tyler Adams (£1.2m), Max Wober (£2.2m) and Wilfried Gnonto (£2.4m) returned from their respective nations with injuries – the USA international may not return before end of the campaign.

Luis Diaz (£5.2m) is close to return to full training but this weekend’s clash with Man City comes too soon for the Colombian winger.

Darwin Nunez (£5.2m) is “in contention” to play at the Etihad despite missing training earlier in the week.

Saliba won’t feature against Leeds

A question mark remains over Erling Haaland’s (£9.3m) availability following Pep Guardiola’s non-committal comments to reporters.

“Yesterday I spoke with him, he feels good, but we will see,” the decorated tactician said of his side’s top scorer.

Phil Foden (£5.1m) will be out for at least a fortnight having had his appendix removed.

Marcus Rashford (£6.5m) missed England’s Euro qualifiers but Erik ten Hag is optimistic of the 25-year-old’s chances of making Man United’s trip to Newcastle.

“I think we have one more day so I have good hope he’s available,” the Dutchman told journalists at his Friday press conference.

Nick Pope (£4m) has all but fully recovered from his thigh injury and is likely to start for the Magpies.

Reece James (£5.7m) and Kai Havertz (£4m) have returned to training after withdrawing from international duty and should be available with Chelsea set to host Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.

N’Golo Kante (£2.8m) played a friendly during the break but it’s not known to what extent he will feature this weekend.

Haaland is by far Dream Team’s most-popular player

Fraser Forster’s (£3m) spell between the sticks for Spurs may be at an end as Hugo Lloris (£3.4m) has returned to full training.

David Moyes has doubts over some key players ahead of West Ham’s must-win game against Southampton this weekend.

Nayef Aguerd (£3m) has a “grumbly hip” while Gianluca Scamacca (£2.6m) is nursing a “sore knee” – a late decision will be made on both.

Saints have issues too with Armel Bella-Kotchap (£1.6m) an absentee and Juan Larios ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Che Adams (£3.3m) and Mohammed Salisu (£1.3m) will also need to be assessed before Sunday’s trip to east London.
