KICK-OFF APPROACHING

Dream Team 2022/23 is coming soon – gaffers get ready!

The long wait is almost at an end.

With the new Premier League season set to commence in a month’s time, a shiny new edition of Dream Team is imminent.

Our fantasy football offering for the 2022/23 campaign will launch in the coming days and early-bird gaffers should put some time aside next week to peruse the initial player list and lock in a first draft via the site or app, both of which will have improved usability and functionality for the new term.

Concrete details are sparse at this stage (we’re still dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s) but we can confirm the core elements that make Dream Team so appealing will remain the same.

Dream Team will once again be free to play and there will be £100,000 of prize money up for grabs.

It’s possible there will be other prizes up for grabs throughout the season as well – more on that once we’re up and running.

As usual, players will score points not just in the Premier League but in FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League fixtures as well, ensuring plenty of midweek thrills and spills.

Once again, you will have an initial budget of £50million to spend on your XI ahead of Game Week 1.

As the season progresses, you will be allotted five transfers per month and will have to contend with fluctuating player prices as the drama unfolds.

We’ve made no changes to the scoring system from last season and stats boffins WhoScored will continue to provide our match ratings, which determine bonus points and the coveted Star Man awards.

To whet your whistle further, we’ll be leaking some player prices ahead of the official launch.

Keep an eye out for price reveals for Darwin Nunez, Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah this week!

Otherwise, all we need from our loyal gaffers this week is a sense of growing excitement and anticipation.

The new season gets underway on Friday August 5th with Crystal Palace vs Arsenal so naturally that will signal the start of Dream Team Game Week 1 for 2022/23.

There’s plenty of time for enough back-and-forth tinkering to drive you delightfully mad by then – we can’t wait!
