Injuries and suspensions update ahead of Game Week 10 – Chelsea trio absent plus Arsenal doubts

Dream Team brings you all the latest injury and suspension news ahead of Game Week 10 in one easily digestible dose.

Paul Pogba (£3.6m) will miss Man United’s clash with Spurs through suspension.

The French midfielder was shown a straight red during last week’s 5-0 defeat to Liverpool.

There is some positive news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Raphael Varane (£3.9m) and Anthony Martial (£2.6m) both available for selection having recovered from their respective injuries.

The Norwegian gaffer said: “Of course Paul is suspended but, apart from that, it’s a fully fit squad.

“Which is a very strange position to be in, to have 25 outfield players and five keepers training. Thirty men training this week, all fit.”

Chelsea welcome back several players for their trip to Newcastle on Saturday.

The Blues are strengthened by the return to fitness of Cesar Azpilicueta (£5.1m), N’Golo Kante (£2.6m), Christian Pulisic (£3.8m) and Andreas Christensen (£4.5m).

However, midfielder Mateo Kovacic (£2.2m) has joined Romelu Lukaku (£5.8m) and Timo Werner (£3.3m) on the sidelines having suffered a hamstring injury in training.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has a number of concerns ahead of their lunchtime kick off with Leicester.

Martin Odegaard (£3.1m) and Kieran Tierney (£2.7m) will both be assessed having missed the Carabao Cup win over Leeds while Ben White (£3.4m) and Pablo Mari (£2.3m) are recovering from illness.

Jamie Vardy (£4.4m) has shaken off the knee injury that forced him off early last week and is expected to lead the line for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Ricardo Pereira (£2.5m) and Ayoze Perez (£1.8m) are doubts due to injury and illness – Wilfred Ndidi (£1.8m), Wesley Fofana (£3m) and Marc Albrighton (£2m) remain out.

Naby Keita (£2m) has recovered after being stretchered off at Old Trafford last Sunday.

But fellow midfielders Fabinho (£2.3m) and Thiago Alcantara (£2.1m) will not feature against Brighton, who themselves are missing Dan Burn (£2.9m).

Man City have virtually a full compliment ahead of their showdown with Crystal Palace at the Etihad – Ferran Torres (£3.7m) remains their only absentee.

Eagles forward Wilfried Zaha (£3.2m) is back in action after making a cameo against Newcastle last weekend.

Elsewhere Raphinha (£3.4m) has overcome an ankle injury and Leon Bailey (£3.2m) has returned for Aston Villa.

Emmanuel Dennis (£1.5m) is suspended for Watford’s clash with Southampton, while Armando Broja has been ruled out with an ankle injury.
