Marcus Rashford is being forced to play through the pain barrier while Anthony Martial looks set to miss the remainder of the season having picked up a knee injury during the international break.

Asked about the Frenchman’s availability, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Anthony has started his recovery and, if we see him before the end of the season, I will be very surprised.”

So that’s one attacker whose minutes are being managed and another who will be sidelined until next season…

And that’s likely to see Cavani play a significant role for the Red Devils, who are still fighting on two fronts.

United have SEVEN top-flight matches remaining and could potentially have another FOUR European outings if they make the Europa League final on May 26.

The Red Devils do have a few tough fixtures on the horizon in Liverpool and Leicester, but Cavani proved over the weekend that difficult fixtures aren’t a hinderance.

The 34-year-old scored a superb diving header against Tottenham on Sunday and should arguably have celebrated a brace were it not for a controversial VAR decision.

Burnley, Fulham and Leeds also represent excellent opportunities for Cavani to fill his boots and add to his season tally of 69 points.

Just 1% of Dream Team gaffers own the forward, making him an excellent differential to gain points on your rivals and he won’t break the bank at £2.7m.

So let’s recap – affordable, minutes guaranteed, good fixtures and a low ownership. Looks like he’s ‘Edin in to a Dream Team near you…

I’ll see myself out.
