And Fulham are certainly a mirror image of their tough-tackling boss Scott Parker, with the Cottagers sitting on the naughtiest step.

Arsenal – with a whopping five red cards – aren’t far behind.

The two reds against Wolves earlier this month won’t have helped Mikel Arteta’s mood.

So in games involving these worst-behaved teams, an early card might well be in the offing.

Three red cards for West Brom this season, and all within the first half of games.

No wonder we haven’t seen many smiles from Big Sam in the Baggies’ dugout.

The award for the quickest though goes to Southampton’s Alex Jankewitz, and his second-minute dismissal against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man United was a big factor in his side’s 9-0 drubbing.

That was some going, but still some way short of the 12-second record set by Keith Gillespie in 2007 when playing for Sheffield United against Reading.
