We’re heading towards the end of 2019, which means it’s the perfect opportunity to evaluate Dream Team’s Best XI of the season so far!
This handsome lot below would set you back a cool £60m exactly on the game, which is unfortunately £10m over your allocated budget.
We certainly like the look of that forward three — very tasty indeed — while the full-backs of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ricardo Pereira add plenty of attacking bite.

Goalkeeper
Ederson truly has been outstanding this season, even if Man City are some way off the top of the Premier League table.
The Brazilian, who’s outscoring his compatriot and rival Alisson, has kept six clean-sheets in the Premier League and boasts 39 saves — which is all the more impressive considering City’s defence has been down to the bare-bones lately.
But perhaps the best thing about having Ederson in your Dream Team is his passing ability; last season, he even managed to pick up an assist!
Defence
Attacking full-backs really are the money-maker when it comes to fantasy football.
Pereira and the brilliant Alexander-Arnold are among the Prem’s leading wide-men, which also includes Andy Robertson, Lucas Digne and Ben Chilwell.
Between them we’ve got Virgil Van Dijk; the heart of Liverpool’s defence and one of the main driving forces behind their title push this season.
Midfield
While the defence is dominated by Liverpool players, it’s City who’ve taken centre-stage in our midfield.
Raheem Sterling and Sadio Mane are quite possibly the two best goal-scoring midfielders on Dream Team at the moment and rightfully deserve a place in our Best XI, while Kevin De Bruyne is widely regarded as one of the world’s best midfielders.
Alongside them is Riyad Mahrez, who’s taken full advantage of Leroy Sane’s long-term injury and the poor form of Bernardo Silva to gain regular play-time for City this term.
Attack
It’s quite nice to see an England-dominated forward trio in our Best XI — especially with a international tournament coming in the summer.
Undoubtedly Jamie Vardy has been the story of the campaign so far, with his haul of 17 goals putting him far above everybody else — which his almighty tempt Gareth Southgate into calling him out of international retirement?
There’s also just a single point separating Vardy with Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford, with Rashford in particularly good form at the moment.
