Everton have started the season impressively

Well look no further than Goodison Park.

Everton have kept back-to-back clean sheets but, even more impressively, 10 in their last 13 league games too if you include last season’s results.

Jordan Pickford, Seamus Coleman, Yerry Mina, Michael Keane and Lucas Digne have developed into an almost impregnable defensive unit which is forging the foundations for their march towards the top six.

In fact Mina is the top scoring defender on Dream Team so far with 21 points, with Keane and Digne not far behind on 16 and 15 respectively.

Pickford also has 16, while Coleman has 12.

Despite Mina topping the charts, Digne is perhaps the most obvious choice for your team.

The Frenchman hit four goals and five assists from left-back last season and picked up his first assist of this campaign against Watford on Saturday.

Digne is the most represented of the bunch at 10.9%, while neither Keane, Coleman or Mina have more than 2% ownership.

In total only 21% of you have any of them in your teams.

Perhaps most importantly, none of the five currently cost more than £3.1m.

That’s a lot of money you could potentially save further up the field on more juicy attacking players.

What’s more, Everton’s stoic defensive form should realistically continue.

They face Aston Villa, Wolves, Bournemouth and Sheffield United before they host Man City in late September, providing plenty of opportunities for points.

Will the Toffees continue their delicious run? Or will they come unstuck?
