The wait is finally over.
After what seemed like an eternity, Arsenal have announced the club-record signing of Nicolas Pépé from Lille.
The Ivorian will cost the Gunners a whopping £72m and makes their attack look even more spellbinding.
He’s available on Dream Team for just £3.5m – AND he’s down as a midfielder.
Pépé grabbed 22 goals and 11 assists from 38 appearances, with only Kylian Mbappe contributing more goals in Ligue 1 last season.
As well as that, Lionel Messi was the only other player to hit at least 20 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
He also picked up 13 man of the match awards in Ligue 1 alone. Star Man machine, anyone?
Not bad, eh?
A front three of Pépé, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette should terrifying defences.
He smashes Arsenal’s previous transfer record – the £56m paid for Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.
Pépé will be in the squad for the friendly against Barcelona on Sunday but played in the Africa Cup of Nations so may be introduced slowly.
Arsenal go to Newcastle on the opening day of the season.
