1 Virgil van Dijk £5.1m
It’s been quite a season for van Dijk.
He’s the bookies favourite to finish up as the Premier League player of the year, Liverpool are still very much in the lead to win the title, and the Dutchman is widely considered the best centre-back in the world.
He’s also a very good player to pick for your Dream Team, having accumulated 183 points this season to make him the best defender on the game right now.
His two goals against Watford during the week also shows he has an eye for goal from set-pieces, while March is shaping up to be a rather kind month to the Reds.
2 David Luiz £4.4m
Chelsea’s season constantly fluctuates between crisis and success, while their players seem to skip between pantomime heroes and villains.
Luiz is one such case, with many fans calling for him to be dropped just a few weeks ago.
But after great performances against Man City in the Carabao Cup final and Spurs midweek, we fancy picking Luiz for the next month – with the Blues set to enjoy a nice run of fixtures against Fulham, Wolves, Everton, Cardiff and West Ham.
3 Leroy Sane £6.0m
Sane isn’t always considered a starting option for Man City, with Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling preferred by manager Pep Guardiola over the German.
But that doesn’t mean you should be dropping him from your Dream Team line-up, as he’s still very much a darling of the fantasy football world.
Despite his limited playing time, he’s only behind Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba and Sterling in the midfield department in terms of points at this stage of the season.
4 Sergio Aguero £6.7m
We had to mention this guy.
In February, Aguero netted eight goals in all competitions including hat-tricks against Arsenal and Chelsea, and he’s currently the top goalscorer in the Premier League this season.
City’s games this month include trips to Bournemouth, Swansea (in the FA Cup) and Fulham, as well as home clashes against Watford and Schalke; all teams we expect Aguero to enjoy himself against.
5 Harry Kane £8.4m
A LOT of you got rid of Kane following his lengthy injury in January and through February, but now he’s back in Spurs’ first-team and back amongst the goals… what’s stopping you transferring him back IN to your Dream Team?
After all, Saturday’s North London derby is a perfect stomping ground for the England hit-man.
