Beat the Dream Team Coach at Weekender this weekend

We all know you lot think you’re the bee’s knees when it comes to fantasy football.

But can you really rival the best… and we mean the very best?

That’s the challenge offered up to you by Nick Elliott – our Dream Team Coach – who wants YOU to beat him at Dream Team Weekender this weekend.

Probably in your side? Probably

Not heard of Weekender?

It’s as simple as this: it’s free to play, pick seven players from the Saturday and Sunday games with no limited budget to worry about.

And, because we spoil you at Dream Team, the jackpot is a whopping £10k this weekend.

Nick is in confident mood ahead of the upcoming Premier League fixtures and has had this to say on his Weekender side…

No team has scored fewer goals than Huddersfield so far this season.

The Terriers will be underdogs at home to Liverpool on Saturday and so I’m backing Alisson and Andy Robertson to bring in those sweet clean sheet points.

Let’s toss in Bobby Firmino up top as well.

Man City host Burnley in a fixture that screams one-way traffic so it’s Aymeric Laporte and Sergio Aguero for me as well — sometimes the obvious option is the best.

In midfield, I fancy Erik Lamela away at West Ham. He loves a scrap and should start with Spurs in the midst of a (mild) injury crisis.

Chelsea v Man United is the standout fixture of the weekend and while I wouldn’t be surprised if Jose Mourinho orchestrated a snoozefest 0-0, it’s impossible to overlook Eden Hazard in current form.

Lamela as a wildcard option?

So what do you reckon? Faultless? Or faults for days?

Whether you take Nick’s advice or stick two fingers up to it, this is a brilliant weekend to play Weekender.

Got a spare 30 seconds? Because that’s all it takes to pick your team.
