The first international break of the season has been and gone and Premier League football will shortly be back on our screens.
Leicester’s early season Premier League form has been a conundrum for fantasy football managers.
Claude Puel’s side have given a good account of themselves so far, even in their defeats to Man United and Liverpool, and have six points to show for their efforts.
Fantasy football tips: Leicester have the perfect Riyad Mahrez replacement
A player who Foxes fans will be hoping to see more of in the coming weeks is Rachid Ghezzal.
The Algerian winger arrived from Monaco in the summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £12million.
From what we’ve seen of him so far, the 26-year-old looks like the perfect replacement for his now Manchester based countryman Riyad Mahrez.
Having previously worked under Puel during his time at Lyon, the Algerian is a player who the Frenchman already knows well.
We’ve seen glimpses of his quality up to this point and he looks capable of producing match-winning moments totally out of the blue.
His playing-time at the King Power is slowly increasing as he adapts to the demands of the Premier League.
Ghezzal came off the bench in the opening-day defeat to Man United, failing to score any points in Dream Team.
The Algerian fared no better in Game Week 2, failing to make it onto the pitch for Leicester’s 2-0 victory over Wolves.
It took until Game Week 3 for Ghezzal to finally show everyone what he can do.
The technical winger scored one goal and was given a 7+rating in Leicester’s Carabao Cup win against Fleetwood.
The Algerian was given the nod from the start against Liverpool in Game Week 4 and continued his good form.
Ghezzal netted the Foxes’ only goal of the game as his side were unlikely to end up empty-handed.
With 15 points to his name so far, the Leicester man is a better-performing player than Dele Alli, Wilfried Zaha and David Silva in Dream Team.
Ghezzal has the third-highest points tally of his team-mates, with only Christian Fuchs and Harry Maguire (20) scoring more than him so far.
The Algerian started the season costing just £2.5m, but has already seen his price rise in the first batch of increases.
Ghezzal will now set Dream Team managers back £2.8m and his pricetag will no doubt continue to rise throughout the season.
The Foxes have a few favourable looking games on the horizon, including clashes with Bournemouth and Huddersfield.
Ghezzal could well be the star-performer and prove to be the difference for Puel’s side in the coming weeks.
We advise snapping up the Leicester man ASAP, before his price increases further.
