Cardiff’s Filipino number one Neil Etheridge is currently top of the goalkeeping charts – he’s scored five more points than second-placed Wayne Henessey too.

Etheridge was in inspired form this weekend to secure a clean sheet against Newcastle and a precious point for a draw.

The 6’2″ keeper was the hero as he saved Kenedy’s 96th-minute penalty to keep the score at 0-0 in a high-pressure moment.

It was his second penalty save in two games.

Ethridge registered a total of 16 points for his performance against Newcastle, more than Richarlison, Harry Kane or Marcos Alonso.

Etheridge has brought in a whopping 18 points already this season but he is only currently selected by 0.1% managers.

Meaning 99.9% of players are ignoring the best goalkeeper on the game.

Incredibly Etheridge only costs £1.5m, a full £3m cheaper than De Gea and £2.5m cheaper than Alisson and Ederson, freeing up valuable capital for your front line.

Cardiff face Huddersfield next which they will be targeting as their first win of the season after the Terriers were humbled at Man City.

But it may be best to swap Etheridge out after that game as they then play Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City in three consecutive games.

it never rains but it pours for Neil Warnock.
