Let’s start with the facts.

Sterling was one of the best players alongside Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Leroy Sane and Man City obliterated the competition and ran away with the league.

He had the best season of his career as he laid on 17 assists for his team-mates and found the back of the net 23 times.

Sterling finished the season as the 7th-highest scoring player on the game last season and 4th-highest midfielder.

Sterling pulled in a whopping 265 points last term as he racked up a 7+ rating in 33 of his 46 games including five Star Man awards.

Only Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah scored more points than Sterling from midfield.

So why on earth is Sterling only selected by 5.4% of managers?

We really think you are missing a trick here.

Sterling may not have scored at the World Cup but he was one of England’s most influential players off the ball.

He’ll set you back £6m this year but remember, Pep Guardiola loves his pacy winger and is helping the 23-year-old fulfil his massive potential.

This season is set to be even better than last for Sterling as he grows into his role as a critical game-changer for City.

But hardly anyone is recognising Sterling’s potential to hoover up hundreds of fantasy points, despite all the evidence.

More people have selected Liverpool new boy Xherdan Shaqiri who will struggle for a place in Liverpool’s starting XI.

Equally surprising is that more players have plumped with Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.

He’ll be playing in a team that scores less goals than City and will be on the losing side more often – and Sterling scored more than double Zaha’s points last season.

Stop what you’re doing get Sterling into your team.
